What are the security options on my phone?

Your A405DL offers two security options. You can choose to set up a security lock on your phone screen and a PIN to lock your SIM card.

To set up a screen lock, follow these steps:

1. From the main screen, press the OK key.
2. Using the navigation keys, locate the "Settings" icon. Then, press the OK key.
3. Press the RIGHT navigation key until the "Privacy & Security" tab is selected.
4. "Screen Lock" will be highlighted. Press the OK key.
5. "Screen Lock - Off" will be highlighted. Press the OK key.
6. Press the UP or DOWN navigation key to highlight the desired option. Then, press the OK key.
7. Use the dial pad to enter a security passcode.
8. Enter the passcode again to confirm. Then, press the key below the word "Create."

To lock your SIM card, follow these steps:

1. From the main screen, press the OK key.
2. Using the navigation keys, locate the "Settings" icon. Then, press the OK key.
3. Press the RIGHT navigation key until the "Privacy & Security" tab is selected.
4. Press the DOWN navigation key until "SIM Security" is highlighted. Then, press the OK key.
5. "SIM PIN - Off" will be highlighted. Press the OK key.
6. Press the UP or DOWN navigation key to highlight the desired option. Then, press the OK key.
7. Use the dial pad to enter the default PIN 1111 or 1234. Then, press the key below "Next."
8. To change your SIM PIN, press the DOWN navigation key until "Change SIM PIN" is highlighted. Then, press the OK key.
9. Enter the current SIM PIN. Then, press the DOWN navigation key.
10. Enter the new PIN. Then, press the DOWN navigation key.
11. Enter the new PIN again to confirm. Then, press the key below the word "Next."
