What is a screen reader? How do I use it to navigate my phone?

Screen readers, which are used to convert the text displayed on your screen into speech, are useful for blind or visually-impaired users, as well as those with certain types of cognitive or learning disabilities.

To enable the screen reader feature on your phone, follow these steps:

  1. From the main screen, press the OK key.
  2. Using the navigation keys, go to the "Settings" icon. Then, press the OK key.
  3. Go to "Device."
  4. Go to "Accessibility." Then, press the OK key.
  5. Go to "Readout." Then, press the OK key.
  6. "Readout" will be highlighted. Press the OK key.
  7. Go to "On." Then, press the OK key.

To disable the screen reader feature, repeat steps 1–6. Go to "Off," then press the OK key.
