To transfer photos to or from your device using another smartphone, follow these steps:
- On the device sending the photos, locate and tap the "Photos" or "Gallery" icon. Then, press and hold the thumbnail image of the photo you would like to transfer until a check mark appears at the top left corner.
- Note: To transfer additional photos, locate and tap the thumbnail images to select them.
- Tap the "Share" icon. Then, locate and tap "Bluetooth." Follow any prompts on your screen.
- On the phone receiving the images, locate and Locate and tap the "Settings" icon. Tap "Bluetooth" and, if necessary, tap the slider to turn Bluetooth "On."
- Note: You may need to tap "Bluetooth" or "Connected devices" to locate Bluetooth options. To enable Bluetooth on your device, swipe down from the top of your screen and tap the "Bluetooth" icon. Then, swipe the screen back up. You will know Bluetooth is "On" when the icon turns blue.
- If necessary, tap "Pair new device" on the phone sending the photos. Your device will begin searching for available devices.
- On the device sending the photos, tap the name of the recipient device. If this is your first time pairing with the device, the recipient device will be prompted to accept or decline the file(s). If the request is accepted, the devices will pair and the file will be sent.
To transfer photos to or from your device using a Mac or Windows PC, follow these steps:
- With the screen unlocked, connect your device to your computer via the USB cable that came with your phone. Then, slide the screen down from the top and locate "Android System." If "USB file transfer turned on" is not displayed, tap the field twice and choose "File Transfer."
- On your Windows PC, locate and open "File Explorer." On a Mac, open "Android File Transfer" (see below).
- To transfer files from your device to your computer, locate and click on " (A509DL)" or the name of your device. Navigate to the folder where your photos are stored and open it. The folder may be called "Photos," "Pictures," or "DCIM." Then, select the photos you would like to move and drag them to the desired location on your computer.
- To transfer files from your computer to your device, navigate to the folder where your photos are stored and open it. Then, select the photos you would like to move and drag them to your phone storage.
- When finished, eject your phone from your Windows PC or quit "Android File Transfer" on your Mac, then disconnect the USB cable.
