How do I make video calls using Google Duo?
To make video calls using Google Duo, follow these steps:
- Locate and tap the "Duo" icon.
- Note: To use Duo for video calls, you must first download the Google Duo App from the App Store. For step-by-step instructions on downloading apps, view our "Download Apps from the App Store" tutorial here.
- If necessary, tap "I agree" to accept the terms and conditions. If prompted to allow the app to access your files, microphone, or camera, tap "Give access." If this is your first time using Duo, follow the prompts to set up your account.
- To place a video call, tap "Search contacts or dial." Then, enter the phone number or the contact you would like to call.
- Tap the desired phone number or contact. If necessary, tap "Invite" or "View calling options."
- To place the call, tap "Video call."
- Note: If notified that your video may be seen by the recipient before they answer, tap "Got it" to continue.
- To end the call, tap the "End call" icon.
