What is Automatic Setup and how do I use it?
Automatic Setup is a feature that allows you to copy basic settings, like frequently used Wi-Fi networks, from another device running iOS 11 to a new one. To use Automatic Setup,
- Press the PWR/LOCK button to power on your device.
- Press the HOME button to begin the setup process.
- Tap your preferred language option.
- Tap your country or region.
- With Bluetooth enabled on your other iPhone or iPad running iOS 11, place the devices near each other. Using the keypad on your new device, enter the passcode of your other iPhone or iPad. Your new device will complete the setup process and the main screen will display.
