What is Automatic Setup and how do I use it?
Automatic Setup is a feature that allows you to copy basic settings, like frequently used Wi-Fi networks, from another device running iOS 11 or 1OS 12 to a new one. To use Automatic Setup, follow these steps:
- Press the PWR/LOCK button to power on your new device.
- Slide the bottom of the screen up to begin the setup process.
- Tap your preferred language option.
- Tap your country or region.
- With Bluetooth enabled on your old iPhone or iPad running iOS 11 or iOS 12, place the devices near each other. Using the keypad on your new device, enter the passcode of your old iPhone or iPad. Your new device will complete the setup process and the main screen will display.
