Can I turn off the screen reader?

To disable the screen reader feature, press and hold both the Volume UP and Volume DOWN keys for at least 3 seconds. If the feature does not turn off right away, try pressing the keys again for at least 3 seconds.

• Note: If necessary, follow the prompts on your screen to confirm.

If you are unable to turn this feature off using the Volume keys, follow these steps:

1. From the main screen, slide the screen up to display your apps.
2. Locate and tap the "Settings" icon.
3. Locate and tap "Accessibility."
4. Tap "TalkBack" or "Screen reader."
5. Tap "Use Talkback" or "Voice Assistant" to tap the slider to turn it OFF.
   • Note: You may need to quickly tap the slider twice in order to continue.
6. If necessary, tap "OK" or "Turn off."
