How do I set up fingerprints to unlock my phone?

Once you have set up a secure screen lock such as a PIN, pattern, or password, you can set up a fingerprint scan for unlocking your phone. To add your fingerprints, follow these steps:

1. From the main screen, tap the "Apps" icon.
2. Locate and tap the "Settings" icon.
3. Tap "Lock screen & security."
4. Tap "Fingerprints."
5. A message will appear with information regarding the security of your fingerprint data. If you would like to proceed, tap "Next."
6. Enter your current PIN, pattern, or password. Then, tap "OK."
   • Note: If you have not set up a secure screen lock, you will be prompted to do so. Tap the desired option and follow the prompts on your screen.
7. The location of the fingerprint scanner will be displayed on your screen. Place your finger on the sensor and follow the prompts on your screen.
8. To scan additional fingerprints, tap "Add more." Otherwise, tap "OK."
