What is a screen reader? How do I use it to navigate my phone?

Screen readers, which are used to convert the text displayed on your screen into speech, are useful for blind or visually-impaired users, as well as those with certain types of cognitive or learning disabilities.

To enable the screen reader feature on your phone, follow these steps:

1. From the main screen, press the CENTER key.
2. Using the navigation keys, go to the "Settings" icon. Then, press the CENTER key.
3. Go to "Device."
4. Go to "Accessibility." Then, press the CENTER key.
5. Go to "Readout." Then, press the CENTER key.
6. "Readout" will be highlighted. Press the CENTER key.
7. Go to "On." Then, press the CENTER key.
8. To disable the screen reader feature, repeat steps 1–6. Go to "Off," then press the CENTER key.
