How do I perform a Hard Key Reset on my device?
Please note that a hard key reset will erase all the data stored on your phone. To perform a hard key reset of your device, follow these steps:
- Turn off your device.
- Press and hold the Volume UP and PWR / LOCK keys simultaneously for a moment.
- Release both keys when the Samsung logo appears.
- The “Android Recovery” screen will appear. Press the Volume LOWER key to go to "Wipe data / factory reset". Press the PWR / LOCK key to select this option.
- Press the Volume LOWER key to go to "Factory data reset". Then press the PWR / LOCK key to select this option.
- When the content is removed, “Reboot system now” will appear selected. Press the PWR / LOCK key to reboot your device. The setup screen will be displayed.
