There are several reasons why your phone may not be charging. Here are a few of the most common charging issues:
Let’s start by checking your screen for the charging battery icon. If your phone is plugged in, the battery icon should appear on the screen with a lightning bolt icon.
If the charging battery icon is not displayed, verify that you are using the charger / USB cable that came with your phone. Check both ends of the charger / USB cable, as well as the charger / USB dock on your phone, for damage of any kind.
If there are no visible signs of damage, verify that your power outlet is in working order by using another appliance, such as a small radio or lamp. If you have another charger available that fits your phone, such as a car charger, you can try using that as well.
Before proceeding to troubleshooting, please check the steps below:
Is there any physical or liquid damage on the device?
If yes, then you will need to contact the manufacturer for service.
Are you using the original (OEM) charger that came with the device?
Try OEM Charger if possible. If the issue persists, see the next question.
Have you tried other chargers?
Try a different charger. If that charger works, proceed to step 10 for warranty assistance with the charger.
Have you tried multiple wall power outlets?
Try another working wall power outlet.
