How do I add songs and music files to my YouTube Music app?

To transfer music files from your PC, follow these steps:

  1. Attach the USB end of a charging cable to the USB port on your computer.
  2. Attach the USB Type-C end of the cable to the USB Type-C charging port on your device.
  3. Slide down from the top of your screen to access the Notification Bar and verify that your phone is connected via "USB for file transfer."
    • If another message is displayed, tap the notification and choose "Transferring files."
  4. Open a web browser and go to https://music.youtube.com. If necessary, sign in to your Google (Gmail) account.
  5. Click on the "Start" icon for your computer and tap "File Explorer."
  6. Access your computer’s hard drive and navigate to the multimedia files you would like to copy or transfer to your device.
  7. Tap the desired files. Then, drag and drop the files in the https://music.youtube.com browser window. Your files will begin uploading automatically.
  8. When finished, tap "DONE."
    • To locate your songs in the YT Music app, go to "Library" > "Songs" > "UPLOADS."

To receive music files sent via Bluetooth, follow these steps:

  1. From the main screen, slide the screen up.
  2. Tap the "Settings" icon.
  3. Tap "Connection."
  4. Tap "Bluetooth."
  5. If necessary, tap the slider to turn Bluetooth "On." Your phone will be visible to nearby devices.
  6. You will receive a request to accept an incoming file. Tap "Accept." The music file will be saved to your phone and accessible in your music player apps.
