What are the security options on my phone?

Your Samsung G960U1 offers several security options. You can choose to set up a security lock on your phone screen, a fingerprint lock, Face Recognition, an iris scan, or an Intelligent Scan. In addition, you can set up a separate PIN to lock your SIM card.

To set up a security lock, follow these steps:

1. Slide the screen up to view your apps.
2. Tap the "Settings" icon.
3. Tap "Lock screen and security."
4. Tap “Screen lock type.”
5. Choose which type of screen lock you would like to enable. Then, follow the prompts on your screen.

To set up a fingerprint lock, follow these steps:

1. Slide the screen up to view your apps.
2. Tap the "Settings" icon.
3. Tap "Lock screen and security."
4. Tap "Fingerprint Scanner."
5. Tap "CONTINUE."
6. Choose a backup screen lock option and follow the onscreen prompts.
7. To set up your fingerprint, locate the rectangular fingerprint sensor on the back of your device and follow the instructions on the screen.

To secure your device using facial recognition or an iris scan, follow these steps:

1. Slide the screen up to view your apps.
2. Tap the "Settings" icon.
3. Tap "Lock screen and security."
4. Tap "Face Recognition" or "Iris Scanner."
5. Tap "CONTINUE."
6. Choose a backup screen lock option and follow the onscreen prompts.
7. Tap "CONTINUE." Then, follow the instructions on the screen.

To set up an Intelligent Scan, follow these steps:

1. Slide the screen up to view your apps.
2. Tap the "Settings" icon.
3. Tap "Lock screen and security."
4. Tap “Intelligent Scan.”
5. Tap "CONTINUE."
6. Choose a backup screen lock option and follow the onscreen prompts.
   Note: A disclaimer will appear with details on using iris recognition. Slide the screen up and select "OK" to continue.
7. Tap "CONTINUE."
8. To scan your face, tap "CONTINUE" and follow the prompts on your screen.
9. Tap "CONTINUE."
10. To scan your irises, tap "CONTINUE" and follow the prompts on your screen.
11. Tap "TURN ON" to enable Intelligent Scan.

To lock your SIM card, follow these steps:

1. Slide the screen up to view your apps.
2. Tap the "Settings" icon.
3. Tap "Lock screen and security."
4. Locate and tap "Other security settings."
5. Tap "Set up SIM card lock."
6. Tap "Lock SIM card" and enter a PIN that you will be able to remember.
   Note: The default PIN is 1111 or 1234.
