How do I use the ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner?
To add your fingerprints, follow these steps:
- From the main screen, slide the screen up.
- Locate and tap the "Settings" icon.
- Locate and tap "Biometrics and security."
- Tap "Fingerprints."
- Enter your current pattern, PIN, or password and tap "Next."
- If you have not created a secure screen lock, you will be prompted to do so. Follow the instructions on your screen.
- The position of the in-screen fingerprint scanner will be displayed on your screen. Place your finger on the sensor and follow the prompts on your screen.
- You will be prompted to scan your whole fingerprint. Tap "Continue."
- To scan additional fingerprints, tap "Add." Otherwise, tap "Done."
- Options for face recognition will automatically be selected. To disable these options, tap the sliders to the "Off" position as needed.
