How do I protect and lock messages?

You can lock a message so that it will not be deleted even if you delete the other messages in the conversation. This option adds an extra layer of security to prevent accidental deletion.

Follow the steps below to lock a message:

1. From the main screen, tap the "Apps" icon.
2. Tap the "Messages" icon.
3. On the Messaging screen, tap a conversation.
4. Touch and hold the message that you want to lock.
5. Tap "Lock"on the options menu. A lock icon is displayed at the right hand side of the message.
   
   Note: Locked messages will not be retained if a factory reset is performed on the device.
