Can I change my RTT options during a call?

To switch from a voice call to an RTT call, with "Always visible" or "Visible during call" enabled in the Settings menu, simply tap the "RTT" icon during your call.

  • Note: If your device does not feature these options in the Settings menu, you may be able to use voice and RTT interchangeably during the call.


To switch from an RTT call to a voice call, tap the "Menu" icon (indicated by 3 vertical dots). Then, tap "Hide RTT keyboard" or "Switch to voice call."


Your device and/or carrier may provide additional features. To access these options, tap the "Menu" icon. Then, tap the following:


  • "Merge calls" or "Add call" to merge your current RTT call with another voice or RTT call.
  • "Hold" to place your current RTT call on hold.
