How do I use the ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner?

You can set up a fingerprint scan for unlocking your phone. To add your fingerprints, follow these steps:

1. From the main screen, slide the screen up.
2. Locate and tap the "Settings" icon.
3. Locate and tap "Biometrics and security."
4. Tap "Fingerprints."
5. Enter your current pattern, PIN, or password and tap "Next."
   • If you have not created a secure screen lock, press "Continue." Then, follow the prompts on your screen to select a secure screen lock.
6. The position of the in-screen fingerprint scanner will be displayed on your screen. Place your finger on the sensor and follow the prompts on your screen.
7. To scan additional fingerprints, tap "Add fingerprint." Otherwise, tap "Done."
8. The options for fingerprint scan will automatically be selected. To disable these options, tap the sliders to the "Off" position as needed.
9. Options for face recognition will automatically be selected. To disable these options, tap the sliders to the "Off" position as needed.
