How do I perform a Hard Key Reset on my device?
Please note that a hard reset will erase all the data stored on your phone. To perform a hard reset of your device, follow these steps:
- Turn off your device.
- Press and hold the UP volume and PWR / LOCK keys simultaneously.
- Release both keys when the Samsung logo appears.
- “Android Recovery” will display at the top of the screen. Press the DOWN volume key to go to "Wipe data / factory reset". Press the PWR/LOCK key to select this option.
- Press the DOWN volume key to go to "Factory data reset". Then, press the PWR/LOCK key to select this option.
- When the content is removed, “Reboot system now” will be selected. Press the PWR/LOCK key to reboot your device. The setup screen will be displayed.
