FAQ's

What can I do if the SIM card is not being recognized?

A Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card is a small "smartcard" that contains a unique identification number and stores subscriber profile information. SIM cards contain information about the subscriber's plans and network features. If the SIM card is not programmed properly, damaged, or removed, it prevents operation of the intended device.

BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING

OPTION 1: REBOOTING THE DEVICE

Have you attempted to reboot the device?

Try turning your device off, then back on again.

OPTION 2: TRY RESEATING SIM CARD

Please take the SIM card out (use Tray Eject Tool if needed) and restart the phone. Insert the SIM card again.

To properly insert a SIM card, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your phone is turned OFF. Locate the SIM card slot on the edge of your phone.
    • Note: You will need the SIM ejection tool that came with your phone.
  2. To release the SIM card tray, insert the ejection tool into the hole on the slot. Then, slide the tray out.
  3. Arrange the SIM card so that the notch lines up in the tray and sits in completely.
  4. Slide the tray into the slot slowly and steadily until it stops.
  5. Power the phone back on.

OPTION 3: CHECK SIM CARD FOR DAMAGE

Did you check the copper contacts on the SIM card?

If there is damage to the contacts, you may need a replacement SIM card.

OPTION 4: CHECK DEVICE FOR DAMAGE

Does the SIM tray or SIM slot have any damage?
